Bordeaux International School has been managed as an educational cooperative (SCOP - Société Coopérative et Participative) since 1999, and we proudly adhere to the principles of democratic decision making, equality, equity and solidarity.Governance at BIS is ensured by our Board of Associates, with each decision or action dedicated to improving teaching and learning in alignment with our mission, values and objectives. Frequent communication with all members of the school community allows consultation and involvement in decision-making.

Our Co-Headteachers are responsible for the day to day running of all sections of the school, as well as the successful implementation of all directives from the Board of Associates.
