'Prior to moving to BIS I taught for more than 20 years at secondary schools in the UK, most recently in the North East of England. Bordeaux International School is a friendly and welcoming place to work. Moving from the UK, with limited French, I was made to feel really welcome from the very first day. The staff team are very supportive of one another and will go above and beyond to help each other and to ensure that the students get the best possible experience while at school. The small size of the school and the dedication of the staff means that there is a really good understanding of the specific needs of all of the students and we can quickly be aware of any issues and how best to help the students. The management of the school trusts the staff and will allow us to be part of the decision process in implementing new strategies and opportunities that we think will benefit the students in our care. Having contemplated moving to an International School for a number of years, I am really glad that I have made the move and am extremely happy that it was to Bordeaux International School.'
