Primary
Bordeaux International School is committed to implementing the fundamentals of the French National Curriculum for its French pupils, with whom it has had an ‘association’ contract with the Education Nationale since 2010, and the fundamentals of the British National Curriculum for English speaking pupils.
The bilingual programmes for the other subjects, inspired by the national curricula (English & French), are developed by our teaching team in line with the school’s annual theme and reflects our international dimension and a global vision of our world.
We love BIS! Our two children attended the school for three years (2020-2023), and we were extremely satisfied. The transition arriving from the United States (where they had attended an American school) was very smooth and everything was made to make them feel comfortable and welcome. The teachers and staff are all very professional and caring and we were lucky to meet a wonderful community of parents as well. Thank you!

We focus on cross-curricular learning and create a stimulating and encouraging learning environment for each student, using a collaborative, differentiated and individualised approach.
Our experienced international teaching team listens to each child, and works to develop autonomy, empathy, critical thinking, curiosity and self-confidence from an early age. Each teacher works closely with students to ensure the right level of focus and commitment. Pupils succeed in an atmosphere of trust where effort and perseverance are valued in a caring and inspiring environment. We showcase their talents and celebrate their achievements.
'I have good friends, and fun and kind teachers.'
