Our school comprises four Houses, each named after an emblematic personality from our region: Cousteau, Montesquieu, Alienor, and Bonheur. Students proudly represent their House earning points through exemplary behaviour, outstanding work, sense of initiative and participation in organised challenges!

These outings complement classroom learning and are integral to the overall educational experience. Situated in the heart of Bordeaux, our school benefits from a rich array of learning opportunities, ranging from museums and theatres to historical monuments. Excellent transportation connections enable trips to nearby regions in France.
Abroad...
Beginning at the age of 8, we provide our students with opportunities to explore the world in France and beyond. In the primary section, we organise annual multi-night trips, both within France and to international destinations such as Spain and the UK.
In the secondary section, students are able to explore further afield. Recent excursions have taken our students to captivating locations like the USA and Italy, with exciting plans underway for an upcoming trip to Japan. These experiences not only complement classroom learning but also contribute to the holistic development of our students, encouraging a spirit of curiosity and global awareness.

Within and beyond the curriculum, a diverse array of arts plays a vital role in the learning experience at BIS.
All students are provided with multiple opportunities to engage in dance, theatre, drawing, painting, modelling, and music until the end of Middle School. This provides numerous chances to showcase students' talents and build confidence through participation in shows and exhibitions.

At BIS, every student benefits from dedicated weekly Sports classes conducted by a specialist teacher.
Our diverse sporting programme makes use of the nearby sports centre just a short walk from our campus. Students enjoy access to a wide range of facilities, including an olympic-sized swimming pool, athletics track, tennis courts and gymnasium.
